As all of our products have a short shelf life it is vital that we react quickly to quality issues and maintain rigorous quality controls throughout the production process. This is achieved with a team of highly qualified employees with years of experience and a detailed product knowledge. There is a specialist team on each site each headed up by a manager and our ‘Business Quality Manager’ oversees all sites ensuring the smooth running of the whole operation.

Langmead Farms work towards the highest product specifications in the industry. On intake all products are assessed and information inputted into our Produce Manager IT system. This allows us to keep a live system and any rejection details are emailed out automatically, both internally and to the supplier if necessary. The system also allows us to produce bespoke reports on request to our suppliers.

We also undertake regular shelf life analysis to ensure we are working to the correct life on all products. This allows us to react quickly to changing product residencies as necessary.
