Langmead Farms Agronomy Department have various strategies and tactics in place to manage the use of pesticides and fertilisers, backed up with a farm integrated crop management (ICM) report. This involves weekly crop assessments against customer specifications and minimising the use of pesticides as far as possible. Our goal is to produce residue-free products.
We always look at alternative options such as beneficial insects before pesticides and use the most suitable pesticide with the least environmental impact. We work very closely with the chemical companies to ensure we stay at the forefront of chemical development.
